On 03/01/2025, the Ministry of Planning and Investment issued Circular 02/2025/TT-BKHĐT on Vietnam's Set of Sustainable Development Statistical Indicators. This is an important step forward in assessing and monitoring progress towards Vietnam's sustainable development goals. The Circular sets out the concepts, calculation methods, main disaggregations, release periods, data sources and the agencies responsible for collecting and compiling statistical information.
The Ministry of Planning and Investment (General Statistics Office) will take the lead and coordinate with relevant agencies to collect and compile statistical information, ensuring that data is complete, accurate, timely and meets international comparability requirements.
