On 10/09/2024, Mr. Phạm Quốc Hưng – CEO of VietESG, represented the organisation at the “Vietnam Corporate Sustainability Forum – Net Zero 2050 – Enabling Transformation”. This is VCCI and VBCSD's most important event of the year, promoting dialogue on sustainable development between the business community and the Government of Vietnam.
Main objectives of the forum:
- Raising awareness and encouraging businesses to transition to low-emission business models.
- Providing updates on the Net Zero policies of ministries and sectors.
- Identifying actions that help businesses transition more effectively and faster towards the Net Zero target.
Speakers representing businesses in Vietnam presented their ESG transformation activities, emphasising how necessary and urgent this is for business performance and social responsibility. The difficulties in accessing international ESG and sustainable development standards were also discussed.
VietESG, with its experience of accompanying Vietnamese businesses from the very beginning through ESG knowledge training for 200 businesses nationwide (an event held jointly with VCCI), attended and listened to the presentations, compiling optimal solutions for ESG transformation and sustainable development.
