VINACONEX ACHIEVES “A – GOOD” RATING IN ESG ASSESSMENT
Hanoi, November 21, 2024 – Vietnam Construction and Import-Export Joint Stock Corporation (Vinaconex), one of Vietnam’s largest companies in construction and real estate investment, has been awarded an “A – Good” rating in the November 2024 ESG assessment and received the ESG Rating Certificate from VietESG.
This certification, granted by VietESG, complies with global sustainable development standards such as the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). VietESG’s assessment methodology, as a member of the GRI Community, ensures transparency and objectivity. The certificate is valid for three years, until November 19, 2027.
Key Achievements in ESG Implementation
1. Emphasizing Safety and Quality
- Progress and Quality Control: Projects are regularly inspected and recognized for good progress, with quality controlled throughout the construction process.
- Roles and Responsibilities: Clear regulations on roles and responsibilities in safety management.
- Risk Assessment: Adjusting risk assessments according to actual conditions at construction sites and using camera systems for security and safety monitoring.
- Safety Reports: Safety reports are submitted to project management and investors.
- Training and PPE: Conducting safety training for employees and providing specific personal protective equipment (PPE) for each position.
- Communication and Signage: Safety information is communicated through supervisory teams and safety signs at construction sites.

- Living Conditions: Ensuring living conditions at construction sites, including industrial kitchens, direct drinking water filtration systems, and recreational activities for workers.

- Health Check-ups: Conducting regular health check-ups for site employees.
- Emergency Response Plans: Developing detailed emergency response plans for incidents.
5. Training and Quality Processes
- Diverse Training: Organizing training for various work positions and issuing certificates after assessments.
- Quality Control Processes: Implementing a consistent process from the corporation to the construction sites, ensuring compliance with quality control procedures from input materials to project completion.
6. Inspection and Supervision
- Independent Internal Audits: Conducting internal audits to ensure compliance with procedures and work quality.
- 5S Methodology: Implementing the 5S methodology to maintain organized and efficient work environments.

With effective application of ESG in business and production activities, Vinaconex proudly receives the ESG Rating Certificate with an “A – Good” score.
